LED Facial Boston

seeing redness or need a collagen boost?

An LED facial, also known as LED light therapy, is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to target various skin concerns and promote overall skin health. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, and was pioneered by NASA to learn how different wavelengths of light promote cell regeneration. The idea behind it is that similar to plant cells converting light to energy, human tissue when exposed to certain wavelengths of light can take that energy and use it to heal tissue, increase circulation, decrease inflammation, improve acne prone skin, skin tone, texture and clarity.  Red LED can decrease under eye wrinkles. Blue LED kills acne bacteria!  Red light also helps treat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Perfect for Boston winters or just a cloudy day.

We will begin by cleansing your skin to remove any makeup, dirt, and oil from the surface. Then we apply protective eyewear because for LED therapy to be effective it needs to be bright, and close to your face.

During  your facial,  our Celluma panel is placed close to your skin and either Red, Blue, or a combination is used to infuse your cells with energy. Red or Blue LED  are used to target different skin concerns:

  • Red Light (630-700nm): Red LED light is  used to stimulate collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote skin healing. It can help improve skin texture, firmness, and overall tone, making it beneficial for anti-aging treatments.

  • Blue Light (400-470nm): Blue LED light is known for its antibacterial properties and is commonly used to target acne-causing bacteria on the skin. It can help reduce acne breakouts, minimize inflammation, and improve the appearance of oily or congested skin.

LED facials are safe and suitable for all skin types, with no downtime.  Multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal outcomes, and maintenance treatments may be needed to sustain the benefits over time.
